Who is Robyn?

Since you’re here, you probably know a bit about me, but here’s some more, since it’s always about me! ;)

Robyn growing up

I grew up in the small town of Cold Lake and had an amazing childhood. My summers were full of beach days, boat trips and being bucked off tubes by my dad who liked to “toughen us up”! Winters we ski-doo’d and frequented a giant hill called Strawberry Hill that was so long we got pulled back up by a quad.

I LOVED high school, I know that isn’t the norm though. I was an honour student, athlete and friend to everyone. This is surely where my social butterflyness started!

I have a half sister and half brother. Leanne, who is 5 years younger, psychology student, lover of animals and working out. Cole, who is 9 years younger, a gentle soul with a love for writing and visual arts. Both of them I am very close with. (I also have 2 other half sisters from my biological father, than I am not close to.)

I loved the small town life that included bush parties, knowing everyone and walking to the lake. I did always know I was meant to leave though, and that I did! At 18 I moved to Edmonton to go to school and build my career. This is now where I’ve established roots and purchased my first home!

I’ve always been a lover of animals; meet Latte! She’s a female golden retriever who came into my life at the perfect time. Facing a global pandemic, grief of losing my father and loneliness in a big house - she has been my comfort and solace. They say animals find you when you need them, this was definitely the case!

Independence has been a huge part of my life. I’ve always wanted to do everything on my own and hate asking for help. This is plays into my hard exterior and the reason many find me intimidating.

Under that hard shell is a woman who desires perfection, love, loyalty - not only from others, but from herself.

Thank you. Thank you for being here, for your support and continued encouragement.
